Public Transport: Train or Bus

If you want to use public transport from the airport to Budweis (České Budějovice), go to the bus platform located just outside your terminal and take the Airport Express (AE) to Prague Train Station. There are trains to České Budějovice about once an hour, and the travel takes about 2 hours.

Alternatively, from the airport you can take the bus No. 191 to the bus terminal U knižecí and from there the RegioJet bus in the direction of Český Krumlov. Buses leave about once an hour, and the travel to České Budějovice takes about 2 hours.

Of course, you can also take a taxi from the airport to either the train station or the bus station. The estimated fare is 800 CZK (appr. 30 EUR) for one way.

In České Budějovice, you can take bus No. 3 to Jihočeská univerzita. Or you take a taxi, which should be around 150 CZK (appr. 6 EUR).

Direct Shuttle Service

The transfer organised by us is more expensive (100 EUR instead of about 20 EUR by public transport), but it will be faster (about 2 hours instead of 3 – 4) and more convenient. The driver will, however, have to wait for 2 – 3 passengers to arrive before leaving the airport, so that the advantage in terms of time might be smaller.
